Yunlin-Chiayi-Tainan Southern Coast Sightseeing Brand Construction and Marketing
This is the first project where we entered a memorandum of understanding with an international tourism group in line with international standards.
This project revitalized localities and enhanced resources and opportunities for local industries, allowing them to operate in an international setting.
The distinctive brand identity of the Yunlin-Chiayi-Tainan South Coast Tourism Project was "Salty Wave." During the pandemic, local operators continued to optimize the uniqueness of local brands. Through analysis from resident tourism experts and DMO expert experience, we created a platform for Yunlin-Chiayi-Tainan south coast tourism with planned brand integration and construction. We also placed local products on Taiwanese and Japanese e-commerce platforms, which continuously stimulates active industry participation.
The project integrated brand building and marketing. We also established a sister tourism area with Sendai and Matsushima in Japan and signed an agreement with the Japanese travel agency H.I.S. Taiwan for reciprocal discounted travel plans and products to enhance the international visibility of the Yunlin-Chiayi-Tainan coastal area. The plan is expected to reach an output and marketing value of more than 20 million NTD in the next three years. During the execution of this project, there were a total of 130 media exposures. In Japan, exposure was given on AFPBB News, Sankiebi and other print media and online platforms, creating a total advertising value of more than 6 million NTD.
The tourism areas of Japan and Taiwan have continued to have positive interconnections. In the year following the completion of this project, the first meeting with the Sendai and Matsushima DMO after signing an MOU was held via video conferencing and focused on the integration of Yunlin, Chiayi and Tainan mountain and coastal tourism resources. The content of the in-depth discussions on bilateral cooperation included tourism, industry and economy, the expansion of opportunities for cross-regional cooperation, and the creation of a "win-win" model of cooperation for the prosperity and development of Taiwan and Japan. This was a new milestone for international collaboration in Yunlin, Chiayi and Tainan tourism branding.
