Taiwan Muslim-Friendly Food Tourism Promotion
We took stock of Taiwan’s diverse Muslim-friendly foods and worked with Internet celebrities to deepen Taiwan’s Muslim-friendly hospitality.
Taiwan continues to rank among the top three non-OIC destinations in the world in the "Global Muslim Travel Index (GMTI)" published by CrescentRating and Mastercard. It was even awarded the "Most Inclusive Tourism Destination of the Year (Non-OIC)."
Through this project, we gave Muslim tourists from all over the world a more systematic and thematic understanding of Taiwanese cuisine when they visit. To continue to enhance Taiwan’s Muslim-friendly environment, expanding the potential number of Muslim tourists from Malaysia and other Southeast Asian countries, this case started with the common first stop of visitors to Taiwan by conducting an inventory of Muslim-friendly restaurants in Taipei, New Taipei, Keelung and Taoyuan. Based on this survey, we publishing a Muslim-friendly restaurant guide.
The guide introduces Muslim-friendly restaurants in Northern Taiwan based on three themes: classic Taiwanese flavors, vegetarian feasts, and international cuisine. The guide aims to allow Muslim travelers to always find delicious restaurants that meet their dietary needs when exploring Northern Taiwan and locate Muslim-certified hotels. We also invited Muslim food and lifestyle key opinion leaders from Malaysia to visit the restaurants introduced by the manual and share their personal experiences with the Malaysian market. Northern Taiwan not only has convenient transportation and abundant attractions, you can also conveniently find Halal friendly food!
