Kaohsiung Cruise Passenger Friendly Consumption Environment Plan
Planning for the needs of "international tourists"
Preparations during the pandemic and re-evaluation of Kaohsiung’s abundant tourism resources.
Using site visits, in-depth explorations, and industry co-creation as strategies, we successfully assisted five unique local businesses establish diverse payment services and create multilingual, environmentally-friendly operations. Bringing together international media and sightseeing tours held by local operators for cruise passengers, we invited about 50 leaders from groups including local fishermen's associations, special souvenirs businesses, tourist destinations, and sightseeing and learning venues to join a "Citizen Cafe." The topics discussed included keys areas of on-shore tourism, sustainable management, brand value, reversing disadvantages and digital economy, stirring up new life and consensus in the cruise industry. Through in-depth discussions, an overall maritime tourism strategy for Kaohsiung was developed to drive the cruise industry towards new future opportunities.
