"Mountains and Seas Taoyuan" large-scale sustainable art installation
Creating a “thinking wall” between residents and the land.
The Environmental Protection Administrative Park of the Taoyuan City Government serves as a place for people to negotiate with enterprise and learn about environmental knowledge and life. In order to create a new immersive experience, the walls of the Taoyuan City Environmental Protection Bureau building were recreated to display the tight relationship between sustainability and life. Using large-scale public art to echo the mission of this government agency, public attention is brought to environmental issues and environmental awareness.
Focusing on issues of sustainability, environmental protection, and ecology, we invited the Haidiao Laboratory team, which is deeply focused on issues of sustainability, to use multiple recycled media and multi-faceted perspectives to create an image of a sustainable peach blossom garden to complement the rest area. When people come to handle business, they can stop and take a look in a break with the typical cold atmosphere of public spaces in government agencies. The artwork provides an important foundation for thought, interaction, and consensus building.
